We, all the denominations, have partaken of that fruit of division. We have all become comfortable in own perspectives and hostile to the perspectives of others. I am of course speaking in general terms. We like to believe we are right and if we begin to listen to others than on some level we are admitting we may not have it all right, this makes us very uncomfortable and keeps us apart. Galatians 5 not only lists some the fruit of the Spirit, but also acts of the sinful nature. Among those acts of the sinful nature is discord, dissensions and factions. May we strive to live out the fruit of the Spirit instead.

Thank you again for your encouragement! The HCSB stands for Holman Christian Standard Bible put out by Lifeway. I have not visited Unexpected Road, but will have to do so soon. I get the feeling you think I am Jewish, I am not. I am just a believer who has come to greatly appreciate the Jewish roots of our faith and the time in which we live when more and more Jews are coming to faith in Yeshua the Messiah. God Bless!

I’m am so thankful to God for guiding me here. You were right in your last reply to me, I did enjoy this post and it di open my eyes a bit.
